Many users of Audacity have reported problems with the 1.3.x versions in Ubuntu-based distros.

I too could not get Audacity to work right in Jolicloud or Linux Mint which are Ubuntu-based. Getting audio into it rarely worked, regardless of pref settings, and it usually would stop recording for no reason after about 1 to 10 seconds.

I would like to know if anyone has had success with Audacity in EB4 beta.

Audacity is working fine on my Asus 701, with EB4 on a 4G SD card. I installed it from the EB repositories using Synaptic. Worked perfectly.

same here, im a musician so i have to edit audio files often, it works for me.

We're not ubuntu based any more so you shouldn't have those issues.
